Cocktails and Cockpics - A Grinder Love Story (Gay Novel) ReviewYears ago, just mentioning eBay was enough to make a tv show or novel seem current and trendy. Here the author has latched on to "grindr", the cruising app that has become so popular, and apparently that was the motivation for writing this "current and trendy" novel. Everything about this book rings false: the plot lines, the situations, the people.
As another reviewer mentioned , the author can't even keep his characters' names straight (no pun intended), and in the middle of a sex scene changes the name from one central character to another. (And it couldn't have been because the author got all hot and bothered writing the sex scenes, 'cause they just ain't that hot!)
As a gay man, you'd think I would empathize primarily with the gay males in the book, but these are some of the most obnoxious self-centered and surperficial people you can imagine - and the "redemption" at the end rings false like everything else here.
