Anderson and Sweeney also provide a study guide and solutions manual which are very helpful. A computer program called the Management Scientist is available which allows you to solve linear programming as well as other operational research problems. Many problems are solved using Lotus 1-2-3 and Microsoft's Excel Solver are presented. The questions in the book really helped me identify areas where I was weak and concentrate on them. It provides explanations about why each of the other answers is wrong, and how the correct one was best. The actual outline portion of the workbook was OK - nothing better than the usual suspects, maybe even less detailed than it should be.
