Why should we waste our breath on the classroom process rather than use it for our content? Righting the Educational Conveyor Belt (Red Seal Educational Series) ReviewI have a "right-brained" child, now 14, who has struggled in the classroom. Michael's book was extremely useful in helping me to understand the different learning styles and my child, as well as understanding the teaching culture and how it changes as a child goes through the primary, middle, and high school years. Michael has armed me with knowledge to communicate with teachers in a respectful way that has positively influenced their perception of my daughter and her learning differences. When I win a the lottery - :) - I will set up a foundation to fund teacher training by Michael. Since that probably won't happen, I hope to one day bring Michael's work to the southeast through our education foundation.Righting the Educational Conveyor Belt (Red Seal Educational Series) OverviewBy coaching over 100 teachers a month in their classrooms, Michael Grinder elicited the patterns that create excellent teaching, for regular and Special Education, at all grade levels. Tying in the principles of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), this book outlines techniques for classroom management, tips on individualized learning styles, and stress-reducing methods for coping with one of the most challenging professions. Full of charts, cartoons, exercises and real-life stories from the classroom to enliven the text. Research published by the National Education Association shows that 82% of all classroom communication is nonverbal; this comprehensive resource book delineates the nonverbal patterns that are effective.Teachers, administrators, parents and homeschoolers will find valuable insights within this book which can easily be implemented. This book directly assists "at-risk" kids. See also Grinder's book on Classroom Management called ENVoY.

Envoy: Your Personal Guide to Classroom Management ReviewI have read the previous reviews (two very positive and two very negative). I whole-heartedly agree with the two people giving this book and Mr. Grinder high praise for his scholarly work!
I have had the opportunity to be personally trained by Michael Grinder and I can tell you for certain, He is no joke, nor is his work! He has put a lot of time and effort into this project and there is a reason for literally EVERYTHING he has done in this book. Those individuals writing poor reviews about this book either know NOTHING about classroom management, or have NEVER read the book. The $25 this book is currently selling for is not enough. I have taught several years in a high impact school where classroom management skills were a must. Nothing helped me more than reading, and USING the multiple skills presented in Michael Grinder's book. If you are looking for an invaluable classroom management tool (with the proven research principles of Neurolinguistic Programming woven throughout), then you should look no further than ENVoY: Your Personal Guide To Classroom Management.Envoy: Your Personal Guide to Classroom Management OverviewENVoY is Michael Grinder's distillation of the best and mostpractical managemant techniques gleaned from over a decade of personalresearch(visiting over 4,000 classrooms). This book is a collectionof 31 nonverbal management skills which foster a win-win atmosphere inthe classroom. It can be used by the individual teacher or utilizedas a manual for prfessional development and is ideally suited for peercoaching. You will learn how to: get the class's attention quicker;employ transitions effectively; increase concentration andproductivity during seatwork; have more energy both during the schoolday and at home; and positively influence the single most powerfulleverage point in education -- the teacher/student relationship.
